A DIY Holiday Designs Sneak Peek

by mtremblay on November 7, 2011

A typical Thanksgiving centerpiece in my house growing up. Beautiful but I wish I had discovered flowers a little earlier!

So, what are your plans this year for the upcoming holidays?

Do you have family and friends coming for a big Thanksgiving Meal?

Do you always spend the Holidays at home or are you a Holiday wanderer?

This year joining me, my husband and my freshman sons will be my Dad and his wife, my two sisters and one of my brothers and all their kids for a big Thanksgiving together! YAY! Can't wait! (So much gratitude and happiness for this)

It's gonna be a lot of work, but the wonderful time together will more than make up for the work. (Plus, I WILL give everyone jobs < hehehe>, my secret plan;-)).

I will even do a big floral centerpiece, something I haven't done for many years,so look for pics to come (Don't worry, I'll be sharing some insider tips with you, so you can do something wonderful too.)

(Oh yes, almost forget to tell you, speaking of gratitude, I guest posted an a great blog this week…here's the link:http://bit.ly/sC1nzb. It is one of my FAVORITE blogs all about art and design! Thanks Laura!:-))

Then there is that other Holiday…You know which one I am talking about…

Sneak peek alert!!!

In the past, we have had many discussions about flowers, and you all know my story about being in art school, not knowing what I was going to do when I graduated and starting my own flower business. Well, part of my story, a story within a story, is that I had a business within a business.

For 25 years I did Christmas decorating in the big office buildings in Center City Philadelphia. You know, all those 18' trees you see in the lobbys of big buildings and malls? Yep, that's what I did.

I still do holiday decorating today, but my focus has changed a bit and growth in other areas has led me to something I have wanted to do for some time.

Write a book.

About Christmas decorations.

More secret info!

So here is a preview of what my book is all about. Can you guess what my focus is going to be?

It's gonna be fun and it's coming soon.

Love to get your feedback, so please comment below.

So, Dear Reader, There is no abandoning of flowers. This is something that many floral designers do as well…maybe not the 18' trees, but it's all about making the holidays special. Look forward to sharing more flower and holiday conversation!

Remember, if you haven't gotten my FREE 2-part video series. YOU MUST! Just fill in the form and I will send it to you ASAP!!!

With the holidays upon us, you will LOVE having the skills to take care of your holiday flowers with ease. People will notice ;-) !

Go out and make today your very best!

Michele

p.s COMMENT! COMMENT! COMMENT!…a FB "like" and a "tweet" are also appreciated.

For the last 30 years Michele has been designing flowers for all kinds of people, from brides to prom goers, from dining rooms to boardrooms. Starting out as a fine artist (painter) and moving into the flower world gave Michele a vision that set her work apart from other floral designers. Designing flowers in a more relaxed,"unfloristy" way was always the goal when working for private clients.

Still doing artwork and designing various products from table linens to greeting cards to holiday decorations, Michele continues to have a unique and diverse style she brings to her work.

Can't wait to see how your table looks.  I love the holidays and the decorations.  We'll be having the feast in Baltimore with our youngest son and his family in their new home.  He's a great cook and his wife is a brilliant artist, so we'll have lots of fun in the kitchen and the table will be awesome.
Enjoy every minute!

Such a great idea to write a book Michele and share your expertise with others…there are so many people who are in need to pick up your book and make it happen with ease…You are a great teacher and I know the instructions in there will be simple, as I've read so many articles here on your site :)

Norma Doiron@Healthy|Wealthy|Wise November 10, 2011 at 7:47 pm
